Bio

Bishop McGuinness High School (OK) - Head Coach (2024-Present) Stringer's journey with BMCHS began in 2015 when he joined the staff as quarterbacks coach and special teams coordinator. Over the years, he took on roles as head freshman coach, offensive coordinator and assistant head coach.

Under his leadership as offensive coordinator, the Irish averaged 36.6 points and 368 yards per game over six seasons.

In addition to coaching, Stringer is a certified physical education/health/safety teacher and has been a part of the BMCHS community since 2019, teaching leadership, recreational sports and weight training.

A native of western Oklahoma, Stringer’s passion for sports and education began at an early age. He graduated from Clinton High School in 2010, where he excelled as a three-sport athlete in basketball, baseball and as quarterback of the Red Tornadoes’ 2007 state champion football team.

After high school, Stringer played quarterback for Southwestern State University in Weatherford. Graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2014, he also achieved a master’s of education in sports management in 2015. Stringer’s academic record earned him the 2013 Who’s Who Award, as well as recognition as a seven-time scholar-athlete at SWOSU.

Stringer is married to wife Caroline and the couple has two sons, Jackson and Henry.
